Hi everyone. My name is Claire and I'm mum to Andrew (10) and James (7), also wife to Chris! We've been married nearly 13 years. I've been a primary teacher for 16 years and though I love it it's stressful and challenging especially at the moment and I am determined to have more of a work/life balance. Over the past few years I've started running then stopped and never been consistent. I joined a Jog Scotland group in Chryston 4 years ago and started to feel the benefits however I was still making excuses as to why I couldn't go and would just stay in instead. My mum and dad split up when I was 5 so I'm very close to my mum and she does so much for me. I couldn't manage without her. When my dad died 4 years ago due to alcohol I signed up for the ladies 10k and raised over £600 for Alcohol Concern. I went onto run/crawl a half marathon again raising money for charity. Since being a teenager I've suffered from anxiety (particularly health related) and panic attacks. My anxiety got a lot worse after having the boys. Since joining the Jiggly Joggers I feel so much better physically and mentally. I completed a half marathon last year and I'm training for another one. I've met so many lovely people and I'm looking forward to seeing what this year brings.
