Meet the Girls 💞

Another peek at one of our girls journeys 😀

Hi girls 😊 I'm Charmaine Arbuckle, I joined the Jiggly's in January 2019! ❤️ I'm 29, will be 30 on Christmas Day! 😝 I'm a type 1 diabetic with a few other health issues thrown in for good measure 😏 I'm mum to my little tornado, Tom, who has just turned 4 😍, and wife to Nathan! Married for 3 years, together for 8 and a half! 👌 We also have our furbaby Toby 🐶, who is a labrottie that we rescued over 6 years ago when he was under 1 and we were his 6th home 💔 but his forever home 💕 I currently work part time within the gas metering industry. Before that I had been a travel agent which was my first ever job and I went straight from completing my apprenticeship to being assistant manager 😜 Anyway, onto my jiggly journey 😝 I met Elaine at the Evening Times Community champion awards, where I was seated next to her as she was awarded the Lord Provost's Special Recognition Award! 🙌😁 In, what I now know as, true Elaine fashion, she gave me the chat and had me signed up for the following January C25K newbies! I thought I would have back out before it started, and never believed I would ever have completed it, but I DID! 🙌 I was determined I was sticking to 5k, and before I knew it Elaine had me signed up to the 10k Training 🤣 majority of 10k Training was through lockdown 😭 but again I surprised myself and ended up doing 3 10ks in July, and a few since then! 😁 All thanks to the amazing support and encouragement from Elaine and all the jiggly's 😍💕.. Now I'm part of the Support Squad 🏃‍♀️ and I'm signed up for half marathon training in January 😳😬 I don't have enough words to describe what the jiggly's has done for me, but it has changed my life for the better and got me out of some pretty dark places. The support I have received, even outwith running, is incredible. I have never met so many amazing women in my life ❤️ I don't have much advice except don't compare your journey to someone else's. We are all different, and that's fine! It's took me a long time to believe this (and sometimes I still struggle with it 🙈).. But there is no such thing as 'too slow!' And always remember... No jiggly left behind 💕 https://static.wixstatic.com/media/837532_556018618db043e48e08428aa189301b~mv2.jpg
