Hi I’m Kirsteen, I am a mum of 2 (twins)nathan and megan who have just turned 8 and partner to gary who I have been with for 22 years! I work as a family support worker within nurseries and schools in glasgow. I Love both of these things dearly but can be so stressful at times 😂😂. My jiggly jogger journey started in January this year when I joined the couch to 5k. I know everyone says this but I honestly couldn’t run the length of me before joining so to actually run a 5k 9 weeks later was amazing. At the start of my journey I honestly wasn’t sure what I was letting myself in for....I hadn’t ran since school and Between being a mum, working 4 days and attending to kids clubs I had little time for exercise or myself to be honest. But from that first day I loved it. I loved being part of such an amazing group and felt right at home. The encouragement and support everyone gave me was just phenomenal. Unfortunately I still haven’t ran a park run as when our graduation was happening park runs were cancelled but we had an amazing graduation never the less. During lockdown I kept my running up going out myself three times a week to keep the routine going. I missed the group terribly but they were never far away as there was so much support on social media from everyone. Once lockdown was over I decided to try the 10k training.....after the couch to 5k I said I didn’t think I could do any longer distance but here we are December 2020 and less than a year since I starting my running journey, I have had done it. I can actually run 10k. I love this group so much and the continuous support every single jiggly gives you, I decided to become part of the jiggly support team, I haven’t done much supporting due to injury and isolating but I cannot wait to January to start supporting the next couch to 5k ladies. Who would have though a year in I would have achieved so much. I have met so many wonderful people this year and made great friendships that will last a lifetime.
